Annette Dirac studied Biology at the University of Aarhus, Denmark and also obtained her PhD from there with a thesis regarding aspects of the molecular biology of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). Following this she worked as a researcher at the Netherlands Cancer Institute, focusing on genetic screening to identify new genes involved in cancer development, and managing her group’s participation in a European Network of Excellence from 2007 - 2011. Annette joined a grant advising agency for a year and a half, gaining vast experience in EU grant applications. She also supported a range of Dutch grant applications, and was involved in the project management of multi-partner EU projects. Annette has been working as an advisor research funding at the Technology Transfer Office since July 2013.
